Connecting your bank

Connecting your bank

Instead of downloading a file every week, you can let SoloBook fetch your transactions by itself. Today this works for Wise and PrivatBank (Privat24 for Business). Other banks work through file import.

🔒 How it stays safe

You do not give SoloBook your bank password. You create a read-only token inside your bank. A read-only token can look at your transactions. It cannot move money.

Create the token as read-only, and you decide what SoloBook can see. You can disconnect at any time.

🪜 Connect a bank

  1. Open Bank accounts and press Connect a bank.
  2. Choose Wise or PrivatBank.
  3. Create a token in your bank:
    • Wise: Settings → Integrations and tools → API tokens → Add new token, and choose Read only.
    • PrivatBank: in Privat24 for Business, go to Settings → Integration (AutoClient), create a token and allow Statements only.
  4. Paste the token and press Check.
  5. Choose which balances to add as SoloBook accounts. For each one, give it a name, say whether it is Business or Personal, and pick the business.
  6. Press Connect.

Your history starts loading, and new transactions arrive automatically.

🔄 Keeping it healthy

On the Bank accounts screen each connection shows its status: Syncing, Synced with the time, or Never synced.

  • Sync now fetches new transactions right away.
  • Replace token is what you use when the bank rejects the old one or you have created a new one. SoloBook shows a banner when a token stops working.
  • Re-import full history reads everything again from the start. It does not create duplicates.
  • Disconnect stops the sync. The transactions you already have stay.

If your bank adds a new balance later, SoloBook offers to create an account for it.

🙋 Your bank is not on the list?

Right now, only Wise and PrivatBank connect directly. For any other bank, there are two ways. You can import its files. And if SoloBook cannot read your bank’s files yet, you can order the import from us, and we will build it on your request, free of charge. How to ask is on the page Importing statements.
