Complex software is overkill. Manual tracking is a risk.

You are an expert at your craft — not in accounting. We know what wastes your time:

  • Tax season panic — "Which expenses can I deduct? Did I miss something again?"
  • Invoice chaos — "Did that client pay me? Where is that e-transfer confirmation?"
  • Hours lost in spreadsheets you could have spent on billable work.

WHO IT IS FOR

Quiet bookkeeping for people who would rather be working

The best business software is the kind you barely notice. SoloBook works in the background of your week, so your attention stays on your craft.

  • Freelancers and developers

You want to build things, not balance books. Import the statement, sort it once, and get back to the work.

  • Drivers and couriers

Uber and delivery drivers, whose spending is scattered across hundreds of small card payments. Import the statement and sort it into categories once a week.

  • Consultants and experts

You need a lean tool and a clean set of books to hand to your accountant, who can work in the same business.

Bookkeeping should not be harder than ordering a coffee. We are here to turn tax season from a natural disaster into an annual formality.

The product keeps moving.

We ship new integrations and features regularly. Here is what landed recently.

  1. Live

    Invoice design and defaults

Add your logo and brand colour, pick one of three invoice templates, set the title, notes and payment terms new invoices start with, and rename or hide table columns. A live preview shows the PDF as you change things.

  2. Live

    Saved rules

Ask SoloBook to remember how you classified a payment. The same payments are then classified the same way, in new imports and in rows still waiting.

  3. Live

    RBC statement import

Import the CSV you download from RBC. Each account gets only its own rows, even when one file covers several accounts, and importing it again never duplicates.

  4. Live

    Tax year

See the year line by line with an estimate, try a what-if on RRSP or FHSA, keep a snapshot and compare with your notice of assessment. An estimate to confirm with an accountant, for Alberta so far.

  5. Live

    Your data, in your hands

Download everything SoloBook holds for your account as one file, or close your account whenever you decide.

  6. Live

    Budget

Split your income into envelopes for spending, saving and a tax reserve, and see what is left in each.

  7. Live

    Privat24 automatic sync

Privat24 accounts (UAH and USD) sync automatically into your SoloBook dashboard.

  8. Live

    Wise automatic sync

Wise transactions now import automatically — no more downloading CSV files.

Questions about bookkeeping with SoloBook

  • How much does SoloBook cost?

SoloBook is currently free for everyone, with one business included. No credit card is required. If pricing changes later, it will be announced on the site.

  • Can I keep business and personal transactions apart?

Yes. A transaction can be marked business, personal, or mixed. Personal transactions are visible only to the business owner.

  • Does SoloBook file my taxes or give tax advice?

No. SoloBook keeps your books and shows you the numbers — income, expenses and net by month, and spending by category — for you or your accountant. It does not file your return and does not give tax, accounting, or financial advice; for tax questions, consult a professional accountant. Reporting built for tax season is in development.

  • Which bank statements can I import?

SoloBook imports RBC CSV, Wise CSV, Revolut CSV and PrivatBank XLSX files, and connects to Wise and PrivatBank directly. Importing the same file again does not create duplicates.

  • Can my accountant work in SoloBook?

Yes. Invite your accountant as a member of the business. They see business data; personal transactions stay visible only to the owner unless the owner explicitly grants personal access.

  • Where is my data stored?

SoloBook stores your data in a securely hosted database with access control per user and per business. Access to financial data is logged.
